THE HINDU BASKET TRICK An unusual version of the Hindu basket. A young man is placed into the basket,
covered with a cloth and the lid used to force him down. Now sharp swords pierce the basket from all sides and the magician may even tramp in the basket. When he decides to release his victim an amazing
occurrence happens, for rising sinuously out of the basket is an exotic maiden clad in a shimmering cobra skin costume. Perhaps the youth has been devoured by the snake, but in any event for dramatic effect

THE DISEMBODIED PRINCESS This effect was created by Carl Owen for the great Howard Thurston. It was an
immediate sensation; while previous illusions of the type had used stage traps or mirrors, Carl's "Disembodied" obviously did not. Now, in the Carl Owen tradition, Owen Magic has brought this
